Down Payment Assistance Program
Leon County, Florida provides down payment assistance and closing cost for first-time homebuyers in unicorporated areas (outside of Tallahassee city limits.)
Financial assistance is provided in the form of a deferred payment loan at 0%.
Criteria:
- Must purchase in unicorporated Leon County only.
- Home value must be $204,000 or lower.
- Your monthly mortgage payment cannot exceed more than 30% of your own funds.
- You must occupy the home as your primary residence.
- You must attend a Home Buyer Education Counseling Class/Seminar, inclusive of Pre-Purchase and Post-Purchase Home Ownership Education.

- $7,500 available to assist you with purchasing a home. (income restrictions apply)
